Frequently asked questions
Is free Minecraft hosting really free?
Yes. Minehost Dirt is free Minecraft server hosting with no card and no trial period. The server sleeps a few minutes after the last player leaves and starts again when someone joins. At busy times a start may wait in a queue.
What do I get by upgrading from free Minecraft hosting?
A paid server stays online around the clock and never waits in a queue. You also get backups and databases, and the ads go away. Your world comes with you when you upgrade.
Who is the free Dirt plan for?
Friends and small private worlds, with about a dozen players on light Paper or vanilla. When your group grows, move up to a paid plan and keep your files.
Can I run plugins or mods on the free Minecraft server?
Yes. Choose Paper, Purpur, Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, Bedrock, or a proxy when you order. Upload mods and plugins with the file manager or over SFTP.
