Got friends on both Java and Bedrock and want everyone to play together on the same server? With crossplay, that's totally possible. Java players and Bedrock players (including Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and mobile) can all join the same world and play side by side.

In this guide, we are going to show you how to enable crossplay on your Minehost server using the built-in Bedrock Support option.

Enabling Bedrock Support

Minehost makes crossplay easy with a built-in toggle, so there's no manual plugin setup required.

1. Log in to your Minehost dashboard and select your server.
2. On the server dashboard, go to Software and find the Minecraft Bedrock Support option.
3. Click on "Turn On". This automatically installs and configures Geyser and Floodgate, the plugins that let Bedrock players connect to a Java server (and join without needing a paid Java account). You don't need to deal with ports, IPs, or any extra configuration.

Connecting Bedrock Players

Once everything is running, Bedrock players can join by:

1. Opening Minecraft Bedrock Edition on their device.
2. Going to the Servers tab and selecting "Add Server".
3. Entering your server's address and the Bedrock port. Address: yourserver.minehost.com Port: 19132 (the default Bedrock port)

Bedrock players will connect and appear on your server just like any Java player. Because of Floodgate, they don't need to own a Java account.

Testing Crossplay

To make sure everything works, ask a friend on Bedrock to join while you're online on Java. If they get in and you can all see each other in-game, crossplay is working perfectly.

Troubleshooting

Q) Bedrock players can't connect A) Double-check that the Minecraft Bedrock Support toggle is on and that the server was restarted after enabling it. Also make sure Bedrock players are using the correct port (19132 by default). Bedrock won't fall back to the Java port automatically.

Q) Bedrock players get "Outdated server" or a version error A) Crossplay support needs to be up to date with both the server software and the plugins. Check for updates from your dashboard, or try re-enabling the Bedrock Support toggle if it changed recently.
